ColorSync 2.6b3 contains no known major bugs and should not present users with any major problems. Here's a current list of the minor bugs of which we're aware. Fixes for all of these bugs have been found but did not make it into the b3 build for the seeding release. If you discover any other bugs, please let us know by sending email to one of the addresses shown in the download questionaire on the web site where you got the installer.
1) Some profiles whose description tag contains a non-ICC compliant description string may return an invalid profile description tag. None of the profiles shipped with ColorSync 2.6b3 fall into this category, but some users with badly formed third party profiles installed may see this.
2) The scripting command unEmbed works with GIFf images, but not with TIFF or JPEG images. This affects the behavior of the script Remove Profile from Image.
3) ColorSync 2.6 supports both Big and Little-Endian bitmap data, on both arhitectures. (Mac is Big-Endian, meaning the most significant byte is the lower address. Intel machines are reversed.) Matching 16-bit per channel bitmaps with different endianness on input and output yields incorrect results.
